Ann Cottone, homeless!
Longtime Greece resident and friend of Habitat for Cats, Ann Cottone's life was shattered today, when her apartment was destroyed by several explosions emanating from the apartment below. Ann had to leave the apartment without even her handbag. All of her possessions were destroyed and her beloved family of cats was sadly killed in the blaze. Ann is a woman in her 70's with great energy and compassion, and has always gone out of her way to help people and homeless cats. She's in her 70's and still acts as primary caregiver for several colonies of homeless cats in Greece. She has worked especially diligently to shelter and spay and neuter these cats through the Habitat for Cats feral cat clinic. She is in shock, and is devastated by this event as anyone would be. The Red Cross is offering short-term shelter. We'll post updated info to this page! Not sure she has a phone where she can be reached, and probably won't have regular access to her email.
